Portfolio
A rural health center in Liberia needed a practical solar power system to support consultation rooms, lighting, refrigeration, communications, water pumping, security systems and selected critical healthcare loads.
The project uses a ground-mounted solar PV array together with outdoor power equipment to support daily facility operation. WHC Power configured the site as a 50kW rural healthcare solar power system with approximately 100kWh battery storage support, improving daytime solar use and backup capability during unstable power periods.
The solution focuses on solar generation, system integration, reduced diesel dependence and better continuity for rural healthcare services.
Project Background
Rural healthcare facilities often work with limited grid infrastructure, but their daily power needs remain important. Lighting, refrigerators, water supply equipment, communication devices and selected medical equipment all need dependable electricity.
For this type of public service site, a solar power system with battery storage support gives the facility a practical way to use available land for energy generation while keeping backup power available for selected essential loads.
Power Supply Challenges
The health center required a system that could support daily medical service areas while reducing pressure from diesel generator use and fuel logistics.
The site also needed a simple and maintainable installation structure. A ground-mounted PV layout makes panel arrangement, inspection and future maintenance easier for local operation teams.
Because rural healthcare services depend on stable electricity, the system needed to support lighting, refrigeration, communication equipment, water pumping and other selected facility loads during unstable grid periods.
WHC Power Solution
WHC Power provided a 50kW ground-mounted solar power system with approximately 100kWh battery storage support for the rural health center project.
During daytime operation, the PV array helps supply facility loads and charge the battery system. When grid power is unstable, the hybrid inverter and battery storage configuration provide backup support for selected critical loads.
The complete solution combines solar PV generation, inverter matching, battery storage integration, electrical protection and project-level configuration support for a dependable rural public healthcare power system.
System Configuration
